frequently asked questions

Dedicated to providing high-quality recreational sports programs for the youth of our community since 1995.

  • How long is the club season?

The season starts with tryouts in September and culminates with the Ontario Championships, a 3-day tournament held in April.

  • What is the time commitment?

Teams practice 2-3 times each week, for 2-3 hours each practice. The frequency and duration vary based on age group, but athletes are expected to attend a minimum of six practice hours weekly. Additionally, teams will participate in four 1-day tournaments between November and March, and may choose to attend additional tournaments on a team-by-team basis.

  • We missed tryouts! can my athlete still join?

Unfortunately, we are unable to add new players once our rosters have been set. Athletes who are looking for mid-season programming may be interested in spring clinics when we offer them.

  • Where do athletes play?

Practices are hosted in the communities of Perth, Smiths Falls, and Carleton Place, pending the availability of community gym spaces. Tournaments are hosted by the Ontario Volleyball Association and the locations vary. Efforts are made to hold tournaments within a reasonable drive, but may range as far west as the GTA.

  • Who can play club volleyball?

Currently, we are offering competitive teams for female athletes born between 2011 and 2007. We value enthusiasm, work ethic, and a winning attitude. We pride ourselves on offering top-tier coaching on both volleyball skills and mental skills.

  • What does it cost?

LUVC is committed to remaining an accessible club and we strive to keep our costs as low as possible. As a non-profit, our fees are set to recuperate operating expenses only. For the 2024-2025 season, we are estimating that fully rostered teams of 12 athletes will have individual club fees of $1500-$1700 for the season. Additional costs include hotels for the season as well as additional tournaments the team may choose to attend.

About us

Our Mission

TeamSnap Sports was founded with a simple goal: to give every child in our community the chance to play, learn, and grow through sports. What started as a small soccer league with 10 teams has grown into a multi-sport organization serving over 2,000 families annually.

We believe that sports are about more than just winning. They are a vehicle for teaching life lessons, building resilience, and fostering lifelong friendships. Our recreational leagues prioritize equal playing time and skill development over competition, ensuring that every player feels valued.

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we reinvest all proceeds into field maintenance, equipment upgrades, and scholarship programs for families in financial need.
